The Degeneracy Game

Post an example of a degenerate case, which is usually a case where the constraints on a thing cause it to qualify as something different. Imagination, flexibility, and sidewaysness are encouraged as usual.

Example:

A dictionary application is actually a translator that translates English to English.

As do physical English dictionaries

Umm, let's see...

This is a self-referencing sentence.

What is it that degenerates into something else? I guess maybe it degenerates into nothing or into a non-statement?

This is actually a really hard exercise. I thought you were supposed to be savants. The trouble is I've thought of a bunch of stuff before, but never all at once, and never committed to memory.

The majority of people are not savants and being autistic doesn't indicate a person is a savant. And as I understand it, that term is hardly in use today.

Ah, limited quality degenerate instances - where any group of inequalities will actually equal out (basically, be the same thing).

I do better with general contradictions in life that come across as funny, myself. I'll try to think of some that better fit this, though.
