What would YOU look for in an intentional real-life community?

I am in the slow process of attempting to start building an Autistic community within an already existing community in Pueblo Colorado. My You tube channel, the Antique Autistic, is very new and I have barely touched upon the subject. I would like as much input from other Autistics as to what they would look for in an Autistic community.

A few things that are important, living in an area with , if not a majority of Autistics, a nice chunk percentage wise ]not looking segregation] a place even those on ssi could afford, a place where Autistic space is respected, earnings opportunities, where we would be growing much of our own food and selling surplus as well. We are looking for people who feel a responsiblity to help each other in our strengths and weaknesses and to make a positive difference in our community apart from our Autistic portion thereof. Most important, always people who will be there for each other.

So, your input is very important. Thank you in advance.

btw, my youtube channel is in my signature and I love subscribers and likes!

Peace and quiet would likely be my first thought as it relates to any kind of community life.
Next would be self-sustainability, like the gardens you've mentioned. Passive solar energy and less reliance on an electrical grid.
Clean water and natural surroundings.
Safety and quality of life would be the keywords.

quality well trained support staff, adapted homes [eg sound proofing, door sensors for 'runners',wall padding, mild colours on walls to avoid overload or stimulation, correct lighting etc] for those who are more severely affected, a community hall for autistics to get together and socialise or have support groups in...

I would go for the quiet, and for lots of natural surroundings. A place to socialize would be nice too, as toothless mentioned, and ways to be self supporting. I also liked the ideas of trying to live off the grid as much as possible!
