What was the last movie you watched?

Winter's Tale with Colin Farrel and Russel Crowe.

If you're looking for an original love story filled with magical realism and theological elements, this is the movie.

An animated TV movie called The First Snow of Winter.

It is set in Ireland and centers around a duckling called Sean who, while trying to fly south for the winter with his family, gets lost and injures his wing - preventing him from following his family. Thankfully, he is found by a kind water vole - simply known as Voley - who teaches him how to survive until spring while the pair avoid a hungry fox.

All in all, it's a short film yet simple and sweet, with the voices of Miriam Margoyles (Professor Sprout in Harry Potter) and the late Dermot Morgan (Father Ted Crilly in Father Ted) as the voice of Voley.

"The Queen"

Thoughtful story of the interaction of newly elected personable Prime Minister Tony Blair and a stoic Queen Elizabeth II when Princess Diana was killed in an auto accident.

First rate acting by Helen Mirren and Michael Sheen.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them. 8/10, Eddie Redmayne on top acting form once again, give that lad an Oscar!

Ghost Busters (1984) 0 Excellent film, much better than the recent reboot/remake.

Lady and the Tramp, classic Disney animation.

Much better than the pants "straight to DVD" sequel.

I really thought this was going to be another Kevin Costner film where he can't play his character outside of himself. What a shocker,he can play the role of a serious badass with a voice that isn't his own and still have a heart of gold.

The Big Short

I had read the book, and I wondered how the hell they had managed to make it into a blockbuster film. It sorta worked, I think, to the extent that you can get away with breaking the fourth wall and that sort of thing.

Steve Carell must have had to put on a lot of weight for that role. And I think Christian Bale has finally found his niche playing someone with Asperger Syndrome. (I never liked him as an actor, even though he's sexy as hell.)
