Canada won't allow people from the US to immigrate there! Our reputation apparently precedes us. :(
Last year alone we added a million more people going to be a real skilled trades shortage in the next few years If you have the skills or at least can pick them up we need you, in housing alone a million houses short of demand. Happy
I own three properties. Us baby boomers are dying and retiring.

Huh, that's surprising. They don't seem to have any problems with us, Norwegians are actually one of the largest northern European ethnic groups in Canada. And for some reason most of us seems to be in western Canada. I don't know what's going on there but I would like to visit sometime and find out.
Different ethnicities, have different enclaves, they prefer. Indians really like Brampton Chinese like Vancouver and north Toronto us Dutch. Really liked the country and farms. Germans, liked Kitchener, which before the war used to be named Berlin. I am so surrounded by Indian culture know I might as well live in India. Keep in mind they are a very vegetarian culture. When we get a hankering for Arbie's 1.5-hour drive. Orilla Ontario.

Today I learned that Medicare may have started in Saskatchewan because of all the socialists from Texas and vicinity who were forced to emigrate in the 20s. They were followed by a big influx of refugees from the Dust Bowl, almost doubling the population. Then, in the 60s and 70s, we got the draft dodgers and deserters, who really improved the moral fiber, IMHO, even if they made it hard to find a girlfriend. Now, we are getting as tough on refuges as the US, so I'm not celebrating Canada Day this year. We are also pretending that we can make progress on climate change while still developing the very dirty tar sands operations, wasting a fortune on small nukes, and making big donations to illegal wars.

We need unskilled labour who are willing to become skilled as much as educated immigrants. I'm starting to see an Afghan enclave starting to form in Mississauga. Wrong thread to get political.

one of my friends when I was in my 20s has dual citizenship for US and Canada. His mom is canadian and lived in Guelph, his dad american and lived in Maryland.
