Can One "Recover" From Autism?

Anyone who says Autism is "curable" and that you can "recover" from it seriously needs to get a grip IMO.

As far as anyone knows, there is NO cure, and probably never will be unless modern medicine ever gets to Star Trek levels of technological advancement.

A level it will only get to if it puts thousands of autistics on the job.

I got very scared when I read this: "Don’t let him slip into his own world . This is what is most damaging for the child with autism."
Really? I’m also an introvert and so very easily slip into my own world - which is in my head. In fact, I’m mostly in my own world.
But to recover from autism? A parallel to that is like saying one will recover from one’s personality, or introversion. I’ve never felt that I’m afflicted, or sick, and so ‘recovery’ has never entered my thinking. It’s part of who I am.

It's sad 75 years after the Nazis didn't control whole countries eugenics is still trying it's ugly best to win
