    What are your shutdowns like?

    My shutdowns almost always culminate in a panic attack or a spike in blood pressure. Suddenly, I'll get this feeling of trying to remember an old dream I had, and as more and more details arrive I get more and more lightheaded.

    Currently playing Injustice 2, peppered with my New Game+ playthrough of Persona 5. Harley Quinn is my freaking spirit animal. Also, and I've said this in a past post, but Persona 5 actually has one of my favorite portrayals in popular media of someone on the spectrum: Futaba Sakura.

    Accents??

    Funny this should be brought up: I live in the deep South, and have a very noticeable country drawl. But the funny thing is that I didn't really develop it until I was almost out of High School. Up to that point, I spoke in a very didactic and neutral way that emphasized proper pronunciation.

    Does anyone else here have this problem? When someone you meet has an incorrect idea or belief that is unscientific/ahistorical/etc. I've come across this both online and in real life, and it almost completely ruins my day, like the entire universe is off balance because this one individual...

    Video games you're playing?

    Persona 5. I'm a shameless japanophile, and this game does a good job of giving you something of an idea of what it's like to live in Tokyo. It also has probably one of the most realistic depictions of a person on the Autism Spectrum in the history of video games.

    Racial slurs. Racial slurs will quite simply set me off. I mean, obviously such things should anger a person...but I get irrationally angry.

    You forgot to add Prog Metal. But yeah, I love stuff like Dream Theater, Seventh Wonder, Rhapsody, Sound Horizon (and Linked Horizon), Dragonforce, and especially Ayreon...or really anything by Arjen Lucassen for that matter.

    Big loud crowds were my kryptonite when I was a kid. I eventually was able to overcome that, but it took some serious initiative on my part. But these days? It's attractive women. I turn into a sweaty, stuttering mess.
