Okay so in my last thread I posted a picture of minerals. I THOUGHT I knew what they were but now I'm second guessing. Can anybody help me out? I know the purple ones are amethyst in quarts and orange is orange calcite. Not sure about anything else, my camera is broke also sorry for bad pics

I should also ask if anyone has an easy way to help identify minerals like these, the opaque non pretty ones are easy to indetify. Except this green one. The pretty ones seem harder to indetify

Slightly off topic, but nice post title. I rewatched it recently, and watched El Camino for the first time. That final scene with Jesse & Jane was lovely.

I've attached photos of green quartz and unpolished marble. Looks similar.

That marble looks awesome. Never seen a tan and green combo before. Is it darker in person? The marble looking green one I posted looks very similar but is almost blue and dark very dark green in person

I agree. I've never been a fan of the movies that come after the TV show ends, but this was a fantastic movie.

I'm going to visit the gem and mineral museum at the University of Arizona in Tucson next month. I'll see if they have some kind of guide for identifying minerals and gemstones.

Oh that would be amazing thank you! This just reminded me that I live an hour away from the UW Madison Geology lab. Maybe I will annoy them

The first two images appear to be different colours of quartz, the second two look like flourite.
