Hi..I am 15, I will be 16 soon, I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome many years ago.

For most of my life I've dreaded it but lately I have come to be at peace with myself, about it. It helps that I am not in public school any more.

I have many interests, I like just talking about things and being around people I like :) if any one here wants to be friends with me that is great. My favorite place to talk to people is skype (though I do not right now have a mic or a webcam, I prefer instant messaging over all else). So just ask if you want that. It should be cool to be around some other Autistic people, you all seem very nice.

Do you mean make a teeny image of
your avatar/user name?

To tag a member that way, use the
@ directly in front of the name of the
person you want to mention.

Like putting the @ sign in front of Mia
will do this:

Welcome to AC, RecklessMick. :) It's great to hear you're more at peace with yourself. Many of us who didn't know about autism until we were much older had to wait many more years for that self-acceptance, so I'm a little wistful about what could have been. :D

Welcome!!! You'll no doubt makes some friends here, as we are a great bunch of folks . . . even us old farts.:D So, browse around, meet the gang, and make some friends along the way.

tree, thanks for the tip on how to do the little avatar, as I've always wondered how people did that!!!

When does one become an old fart? If one isn't an old fart yet, does that mean they are a young fart? Do young farts smell different from old farts? Can one be an old fart in a young farts body? . . . :p (I think this is the correct emoji to express a jokey-tone, but am not 100% sure.)

The certification process can be complex or simple.

A person could qualify by pursuing the activities on this list:

Or skip it altogether in favor of
printing out one of the certificates
available in the links below, merely
on one's own recognizance.
