Hi, everyone. I've been living my life, trying to pass as a "normie," with mixed results. I've been doing things to improve my appearance, and everyone says I look great. Wish I felt that good on the inside. I know what's expected for me to look acceptable to the mainstream, and I do it. People don't realize I have Aspergers until they spend time with me. But, I can only act for a short time, then I have to pull in and recuperate.

Welcome back! :)

hi sonaronprincess,i wasnt here when you were first here but hi and welcome back anyway,i missed your thread when you posted sorry.
aspies are expected to live in an NT world so typically they have to adapt or end up not being well-its sink or swim,so i am not surprised you can only mask your autism for so long, autism is your core neurology its impossible to hide,i can spot even a mild aspie a mile off,try and tell yourself to be proud of yourself,it doesnt matter how you look as long as you feel good about yourself.
