ASMR...Heh...

I come today before you with an embarrassing secret:

I developed an interest an ASMR
Not for the rumored pleasure. To quote many a man/woman admitting to liking pornography: "I like the story behind it." I want to REALLY pursue my interests. Though my easily-embarrassed nature is a problem. Any advice/encouragement?

I've heard ASMR described as having tons of tiny bubbles going pop inside your mind ...but have no first hand experience of it
It some of the video clips have serious numbers of hits & some people ( kinda like soft porn ) make huge amounts of cash from their channels ... so either way .. best of luck !

All I've seen of ASMR was a video of someone eating some kind of soup with bones in it in a cup whilst whispering over it. I'm struggling to see how it's content.

I'm intrigued by how the reactions to the videos vary so wildly and wonder what in the mind they tap into.

I can't handle them for more than a few seconds; no matter the content, they make me want to jump out of my skin!

So you feel self-conscious or ashamed/guilty,
for some reason?

What is there about liking 'stories' that you find
to be humiliating? How often have people made
fun of you for things that you like?
