Can't we consider the possibility that playful creative thinking may be productive?
 
Does your question mean, that once again, researchers should
subject a population to intense study to derive a conclusive result?
 
Can't we just draw our own conclusions rather than relying on so called expert researchers to do our thinking for us? (I've lost count of the number of times I've heard news reports similar to "An international team of researchers have discovered after 10 years of study that people have noses on their faces")
