  • I wanna go out to eat, I wonder if I could convince my grandpa to do that tomorrow possibly when we get our car back (hopefully). There's a few restaurants near the car repair shop, maybe we could stop there for lunch or something.
I'm not sure if I fully buy the 'you never forget to ride a bike' thing considering I haven't ridden a bike since I was like 10 years old, but I really should start doing it for exercise and stuff.

I mean I like going for walks but a bike is much faster.

I got into riding one of those old steel bicycles--think roadster bicycle/opafiet instead of modern "road bike." Picture a prop from a WWII movie and you have a good idea what it looks like. Those are simple, fun, & capable of being used for everyday transportation if you want. Would highly recommend.

I love to ride my recumbent tadpole trike. We are blessed with good roads and some nice bike trails. This is a model from Wales. They sent me the parts and I assembled it.

Weird how I am very much afraid of dogs in real life and yet I like cartoon dogs and hug a big plushie of a puppy when I sleep. But she is my friend and she is nice and she is not mean and won't bark at me.

You just need to get to know some friendly dogs. Once you get used to how they think and how they act then other dogs will seem less scary, in many ways they're not really all that different to people.

@Outdated I have known friendly dogs, my mom has had three dogs and they were all friendly.

Dog V4 just loves everyone. This is especially the case if he thinks they have treats....
I find that I both have and don't have empathy. I have empathy because I am fundamentally a decent human being, I hope, and care about other people. But I don't have empathy in the sense that I don't actually /feel/ anything in response to other people's emotions. If someone is sad, I know that I should try and comfort them, but I don't feel sad because of their sadness, is an example of what I mean.

I dont understand what empathy even means anymore. There is also compassion, sympathy and i don't even know how they differ. And than people also talk about effective and cognitive empathy.

@Rodafina I have heard of alexithymia and I wouldn't be surprised if it's something I have myself.

Seems common here. And clearly, doesn’t prevent one from being a decent human being (as you noticed in yourself). Or a fabulous one!
Did the New Profile Posts thing vanish for anyone else earlier today or was it just me?

It vanished for me too, then someone (was it Forest Cat?) messaged Dragonfire about happy birthday wishes, and then from one post eventually everyone got all their post spots back.

There was a small glitch in the matrix. Gnomes or some such...maybe it was gremlins.

I have notifications from this place. They don't interrupt anything.
There's no requirement that I must attend to them
    the moment they arrive.

I can understand your point of view @Princess Viola . I have them disabled too, I don't like my inbox getting flooded with messages. I find the on-site notifications work well enough.

@tree That's fair, I just don't like them and they're not how I want to interact with websites. If there are notifications, I will see them when I visit the website.
