    Changing the name Aspergers

Why do you hope it didn't? The idea actually comes from the fact everyone at my work calls me professor because I'm constantly studying scientific subjects then relaying the info on to them whether they like it or not. They are aware of my differences and keep smiling as I most probably bore the...

    Levels of Aspergers

There you go again. Bullying the smart people. One might think you are a tad envious of us.

    Changing the name Aspergers

I would like to rename our condition to make it sound friendlier and more approachable. I would like to suggest "Professor Syndrome". I am deadly serious about this. I am sick of people judging me because they think I am wrong on the head. We are just more thorough than they are and like to try...

    Levels of Aspergers

I live in England but I appreciate the offer of help. Lately I have been drifting from my wife and kids with my obsession over my aspergers so I'm going to put it all to one side and get obsessed with them again instead. Turns out I have my friends right here but I forget they love me. [emoji7]

    Trouble connecting with my family

Sometimes I sense myself drifting away from my loved ones. I don't know why it happens it just does. They love me so much, I'm so lucky but I can't always return that love. I tend to give more love to my dogs as I can't upset them. Does anyone else feel separate from their wife and kids or even...

    Teddybears and stuffed animals?

I have two real fluffy dogs and five not real but wish they were minions. Go fluffy cuddly huggy things. Sometimes I can't hug my kids it's so frustrating but my dogs are always good for a squeeze.

Your ideas for movies about Autism

I have written a book called "A Little Different From The Rest." It is about a nine year old aspie boy who suffers from bullying at school and at home by his father. After a family tragedy he regresses more and more when overwhelmed and fantasises about different adventures. First is a fantasy...

    Levels of Aspergers

Thank you flower you are spot on. 162 is actually my IQ so I can relate to being more intelligent than most people. But I would happily trade 30 points for some friends who were more like me. Sometimes I get lonely in a room full of people Aspies or not, so for me finding a similar thinking...

    Levels of Aspergers

I was literally telling my wife the same thing. I find if I'm tired or moody I drop a level but if all is well or I'm at work I can function almost close to "normal" as boring as that is. It's fun to be different.

    Levels of Aspergers

Thanks dude. I do take comfort I'm just a little lost right now. I don't seem to fit in anywhere but at least I have my awesome little family. They are my group, well them and my dogs. I'm pretty sure my sheepadoodle has aspergers.

    Levels of Aspergers

Well considering one man only ever left his house to come to the meetings and another had his mum with him and another asked me what I was doing for new years eve and did he want me to spend it with him. Oh and the fact I had a car, tattoos and a flipping job was about the greatest thing they...

    Levels of Aspergers

Yesterday I went to my first Aspie meeting. I was really looking forward to meeting people like me and hoped I could perhaps make a friend. I am 34 was diagnosed last year and am well and truly socially disabled, but the people I met were not what I was expecting. I felt more out of place than a...

    The next stage in Evolution

Perhaps it's just me then as I have a wife and 2 kids. Just because social situations are hard doesn't mean you have to avoid them. Grow a pair and get on with your lives Aspies I'm sick of the excuses. I have been knocked back time and time again but now I'm the boss of a security company, own...
