The dreadful, annoying, "how are you?"

HaHa. One of the worse questions indeed. I always feel like I am being untruthful when saying i'm fine because a lot of the times my mind is in turmoil. "I'm depressed today, would you like to know why? It might take an hour or so to get to the point though..." I don't think anyone wants a long...

The 17 Rudest Things You Can Do in a Restaurant

I hail from Leeds. People don't make a show of tipping here. Where I work tipping is a norm, but I know that it isn't like that at all restaurants. I can relate to a lot of the rest of the post though, especially getting there 10 min before closing and then staying and staying and staying...

The 17 Rudest Things You Can Do in a Restaurant

Tipping is done in the UK! I work in a restaurant and I depend on my tips to buy food. I don't eat at the restaurant. My wages barely cover my rent etc. Without my tips I would be without a paddle most months.

    Friendly or flirting?

Ha Ha. I've been in situations where I've been told that someone was flirting with me. Totally clueless on this subject. I'm a guy and being expected to make a move adds so much pressure. I sometimes do get that someone was flirting with me, weeks or months too late though as my mind replays...

    Drawing Help

Hi Sylar I've been thinking of doing the same! Are you thinking 2D? I've been trying to get my head around drawing characters. I've had a few goes at drawing my dog! I've always been good at drawing geometric designs, but never went very far as far as character drawing. I know I can if I try...

    Financial Problems anyone?

I am also in a TERRIBLE financial state. My interests often take over rational thinking. It is my fault, but I wasn't aware of my condition when I made these choices. I might have done something about it had I known. Working is hard because as you said having people hovering over my head and...

Do you forget to do things?

I've started making lists... It helps a lot with remembering to do things. The dishes, shaving, wiping shelf etc all make the list sometimes, depending on my stress level for the day. Doing something straight away if it takes less than two minutes helps a lot too. I tend to start a task and then...

Is it a good idea to force a kid to eat?

My mom used to blend the onions for me too. I actually find myself making soup without onions so that my dog can have some too. Onions are bad for dogs. I used to use water or coke to swallow my food too. I still do sometimes..

Is it best to seek a relationship with another aspie?

I've now been texting the girl I met. I still have no idea to go go from here to meeting up with her. Getting out of my rut and gathering the necessary confidence is proving to be very hard. I've usually relied on the girl to make the first move. I'm struggling a bit here... I don't want to come...

Is it best to seek a relationship with another aspie?

I understand about the putting up part. I am separated from my wife of 10 years. We were together for 6 years before we split up. I know that she loves me. I also know that she put up with a lot. I didn't know about the Autism until this year. Unfortunately NTs can't understand the difference in...

Is it a good idea to force a kid to eat?

I also forget to eat when I'm too busy with more interesting things. I know it's time when I'm noticeably confused and start to lose my vision.... Then I have to eat or I become very unstable.

Is it a good idea to force a kid to eat?

Yeah, I remember being at the table after everyone had left. I would try to eat the broccoli or anything containing onion or tomato. It wasn't the taste, but the texture. I would have small bits then rest. I would go far in my mind on those occasions. The dog wasn't allowed inside so there was...

Is it a good idea to force a kid to eat?

Don't force them to eat. Especially if they simply can't stand certain foods. Ask them what makes them hate it. Texture play a big part of my diet. Certain foods are simply nauseating when cooked for me. Eating raw versions help me a lot. Perhaps trying to communicate with child about WHY they...

    So, what's the problem?

Are we talking the "weed" or the fruit? The weed is good as medicine and the fruit to cook with. http://www.diynatural.com/using-plantain-weeds/ You could use a weed puller https://www.amazon.co.uk/Grampas-Weeder-effective-effortless-chemicals/dp/B009VHZIAK It will take some time, but works...
