Persecution of Aspies

hardcore

Well-Known Member
This is now my second topic and since becoming a member of aspergic ive seen a fair few of you guys bullied and persecuted for having aspergers syndrome even by your own families. This is the primary driving force as to why Ive started this new topic. Even if you dont reply to my last topic I ask you all to reply to this one and heres the £100000000000000000000000000000 question:

What should we do to protect ourselves from persecution and how should we do it?
Please reply and tell me what you think, how it could be done, how it should be and what youve done in the past. This shouldnt be happening to any of us by anyone especially not by our own families if that has happened to you. I dont know about you but last time I checked i was a human being.

What I usually do is go into a little rant or speech, using words oddly but somehow rather sophisticatedly, full of metaphors meaningful only to me (as Aspies often do), and it confuses people so they stop talking to me and go away. Sometimes, though, they take what I said the wrong way, twist it up to suit their own opinion of me, and then use that as an excuse to persecute me more...
I don't really know what else I can do. Over the years I've struggled and tried to tell them what's really going on and what's bothering me, but now I feel like I've done all I can, and that it's up to other people to try to understand me more. I certainly can't make them understand.
If I don't trust someone, I don't tell them about my AS in the first place, but I get persecuted anyway because they can tell I'm different from them and I'm not afraid to show my real self.

I like the way you somehow use clever metaphors to baffle your opponents. Your playing it the smart way and its a really good functional application of knowledge and knowledge anne is true power. I certainly dont know how to do what you do. I generally just ignore it or depending on what it is resort to my more primal instincts and get angry but thats just me. I understand its hard but if people consider people like you and me a freak then look on the bright side the only thing us freaks really have is each other at the end of the day. Thats what this whole site and others like it are for. Anyway its nice to meet you. As you can probably guess Im somewhat new here.
