In this thread, you must type one sentence per post to continue a story. You can say whatever you like and be as random as you like, the story doesn't really have to be about anything specific, or serious! :D
I'll start:

Once upon a time, there was a golden fish. :spin:

Being the personal pet of King Midas was a fulltime job, ?good thing I'm already gold? it thought.

Suddenly the golden fish was face to face with a Cheshire Cat staring at it from outside its goldfish bowl; it began barking bubbles!

The Cheshire Cat, distracted by the balloons, positioned himself to attack the blue balloon nearest him.

And the Cheshire Cat sploshed on top of the goldfish bowl which sloshed over the side of the table; our goldfish was now in freefall in a sudden torrent which would end in a pool of soaking carpet and broken glass!

The fat little bearded man wedged precariously in the crook of the tree outside, watched this all through the open terrace doors and mumbled to himself; "not long to go now" he said.

The golden fish said; " Behold the coloured balloons: each one will grant you a boon & since you've rescued me from eternal servitude to King Midas, you many select one of your but choose carefully, old soul, since each one will imbue you with BOTH the potential for great joy AND great sorrow: remember Midas' wish that all he touched would turn to gold!"

All of a sudden a big black crow swooped down from above and the fat little bearded man lost his grip and the branch he was on snapped as he tried to regain balance...

the fat little bearded man flailed and fell to the ground right on top of a green balloon.......POP!!!........immediately releasing the green balloon's boon...

Suddenly a leprechaun appeared next to the fat little bearded man, and asked "do you want me pot o gold!?" :giggle2:

"As boons go, this is a doozy" said the fat little bearded man looking unbelievingly at the leprechaun, all the while the goldfish and the Cheshire cat behind him made plans to go down the pub for a quick pint.

But it wasn't to be so as the big black crow swooped down with claws at the ready and grabbed hold of our goldfish carrying him away up, up and UP!

The crow's dinner plans were spoiled, however, when a spaceship erupted into hair-rasingly electric existence in front of it, forcing it to drop the goldfish into a nearby pond.

Thus the crow was toast and shattered into many crumbs, which fell into the pond and the very happy, wet again goldfish ate every last bit of the 'toasted' Crow.

Our goldfish then realised he'd dreamt it all in a spurt of wishful-thinking and was now in fact soaring higher than ever in the claws of the big black crow and hurtling above the very top of a white snow-topped craggy-peak with clouds sloshing up and over it on both sides with them too.

The crow soared on through the mountain range, when suddenly, a cloud lifted from one of the peaks, and a magnificent, opal tower materialized in front of them.
