I used to suffer chronic hayfever until I lived in the tropics, then it went away. The best medication I ever found were eye drops called Antistine Privine. They are an antihistimine but administering in the eye gives instant access to your blood stream through your tear ducts, no waiting for a tablet to digest.

Thanks for the drops tip @Outdated! I've been thinking of buying some drops. The tablets I've had haven't been very effective.
