Autistic boy, 10, handcuffed and detained by police

I'm surprised that this happened if his autism was disclosed. We don't have a diagnosis yet for our son and it has been awful trying to be heard through our school district. He had a general assessment in kindergarten but the staff practically lied to have him not need an IEP. We gave up on...

Please Let This Be a Place Where People Do Not Believe We Inherently Share Suffering

It sounds as if your failure to connect could be more about your confusion toward your own identity. How can one communicate effectively if you have no clear idea to present? Also, define your notion of community. (Please don't take this critically, I just prefer to lay down clear foundations)...

We talk of electron clouds in an atom because we cannot predict a precise singularity instead we give it a probability...

    Introduction

Thanks. Like I said, I was in limbo before but now I have more understanding as to why. I'm making a second attempt at college this fall, the last one didn't go so well 6yrs ago (pretty bad burnout). Luckily, I have a good support network around me and now I am aware of what can lead to trouble...

    Introduction

Just introducing myself. I'm 32 and was diagnosed a year ago. I'm in limbo as I try to figure out how to move forward post diagnosis (which is the same place as before the diagnosis just with more knowledge of my abilities and their capacity).

    Thoughts on beliefs

I don't think there is the beginning and due to that a prime mover is unnecessary. My belief or disbelief is dependent on necessity. My belief is somewhat derived from process philosophy which harkens back to everything is fire. Basically, I deny the concept of thing-in-itself and see a pattern...
