What was your childhood like? 2015

I've started thinking about this, I have a date for an assessment, January 2016. I think one of the reasons it took me so long to work out, is there is so much odd stuff contributed by my family. I was bullied by my brothers ( 5 & 6 years older) from day 1 until I was 9 or 10. It ranged from...

Which ASD traits do you not have?

I have an idea that those of us who do make eye contact are a lot more intense than the neurotypical norm. Perhaps you made him a bit uncomfortable?

Which ASD traits do you not have?

I score 39/50 on the AQ test. My most un-asd traits are eye contact and humour, which I learned about very young for survival reasons; you are much less an appealing victim if you can look 'em in the eye.

You're wonderful people - I'd like you to know how reading this thread is so helpful to me. I only realised that I have Aspergers early this year, my perception had always been that I had a mental illness which I had to hide. I've had a couple of short spells on antidepressants. As I entered my...

    crying

I learned not to cry as a kid, for the usual "I'll give you something to cry about" I didn't cry very often for years; I hate it, it makes my eyelids swell and it makes me feel worse. Once I start, I can go for hours. I've perfected "crying without sobbing" (I've been pretty down lately), just...

    Is Anyone Here Self-Employed?

Thanks Mia and Beverly, You've both given me some stuff to think about. Mia - a list like that used to baffle me but now I think I can answer most of the list so I feel like I've made progress. Beverly, I will take a look at that - one of the beauties of having a digital product is that I can...
