    Meltdowns ?

I hate that you have them too, but I'm glad to know that I'm not alone. It's also a relief to realize that there is a reason.

    Meltdowns ?

Just a bit a go I started to get inexplicably angry. I felt overwhelmed and like the world was coming to an end over a comment. Actually it was 2 texts. My outburst was a simple "whatever" for my reply. I felt my chest get tight, palpitations, shaking, nausea, and wanted to cry. Worked it up...

    Meltdowns ?

Since I'm new to this whole world, I'm wondering if what I'm feeling are meltdowns. I know in children it's a lot like temper tantrums and can be loud or just obviously a meltdown. But can they be and contained? Like I feel like I'm melting down, but I'm still walking through the grocery...

Lack of Commitment or Interest in Exercise or Diet?

That would be soooooo much gum. My OCD dictates I must have 2 pieces so I can chew one piece on each side. I have been going through a lot of it, but will probably continue that way. Thanks for your help.

Lack of Commitment or Interest in Exercise or Diet?

Unfortunately, I can't have wearable chews. I work in a hospital and its a contamination issue. I can make do with gum at home, but going outside the house would look weird with one of those. I need something that can be contained in my mouth.

Lack of Commitment or Interest in Exercise or Diet?

I can't put anything metal in my mouth. I used to chew on anything metal when I was young. Staples, paperclips, pennies... I'm worried since I would chew, I'd get back into the destructive habit and mess my teeth up more. I did it for years until a dentist found a staple between my teeth. My...

How often are you accused of overreacting? !

I'm pretty calm as well. Most of the time I can feel myself snap from okay to angry. I'm pretty self aware about most of the things I do. So when I feel the anger I just lock it away. Usually comes off as uninterested or that I'm ignoring the person. When I was younger, my parents would yell...

Lack of Commitment or Interest in Exercise or Diet?

I tend to watch people at the gym because that is far more interesting, but I've had enough people yell at me or threaten me for "staring". I'm not very good at watching covertly. I can't turn my thinking off long enough to meditate or calm, and I think that is what most of those gym types can...

Lack of Commitment or Interest in Exercise or Diet?

It's the worse when you make yourself feel even worse because you over eat because of boredom. Because in my mind my inner monologue is telling me to get up and exercise, but then I grab snacks instead. I cannot even contemplate getting the gastric band. I've had enough medical issues that I...

What other conditions do you have?

I have PTSD from childhood abuse, a bulging L4-L5 from a work injury 2 years ago (Lots of hip pain and popping - not much back pain), left leg weakness from the 6 months I was paralyzed from the back injury, plantar fasciitis in my right foot from overcompensating from the paralysis and...

    Do you talk to animals?

My cat died a week before my birthday last year. I have another cat, but I can't talk to him the same way because I know I don't feel the same for him (Einstein) as I do the cat that passed (Indiana Jones). In fact, the only reason I have Einstein is because I thought Indiana needed a play mate...

    With-held numbers

If it is a local number, I may answer it. Not local and not saved, will not answer. If they don't leave a message, I block their number on my phone so it won't ring again next time. Just straight to voicemail. =)

Lack of Commitment or Interest in Exercise or Diet?

Does anyone have a hard time committing long term to exercise or diet? Changing my food habits are difficult because when I start to have an emotional melt down, I cope with eating comfort foods. Then I go through an "I don't care" phase of eating, before feeling guilty for not being able to...
