Hope

I think I've found a sense of drive that holds me looking forward. Or at least has me looking up.

Even though I missed a large portion of it. I watched the episodic documentary 'The Last Dance'. It's all about Michael Jordan and his journey to becoming the legend, being the legend, and remaining a legend after the point of retirement from the Chicago Bulls, and basketball, later in life.

Something I saw, was this man's drive. His passion. It didn't matter what tried to drag him down. He saw it as a challenge and faced it head on. Even being purposefully food poisoned by opposing team fans, he went to play and powered through his sickness.

That's something that got my attention. He didn't let life drag him down. He didn't let petty people, sickness, nor trash talk break his spirit.

Just power through it.

I know I am dealing with psych problems, my ASD aside. I need to power through it. Ignore the negativity, and deny it the fuel it craves to emotionally and mentally destroy me more.

I have been doing that over the past day. Powering through my negativity. Powering through my doubts and lies. Powering through my first instinct to just 'give up'.

You know. This song make more sense now:

Barring it's ingame usage, this song is the definition of what I am talking about. Powering through. Not looking down. Showing you best self. Breaking through it all. Having hope that you can still get through despite the struggle presented in front of you. Striving and driving toward your goals.

This is what I am starting to feel.
