Geek wants to predict the future (1)

What if....

It is true that we could predict the future by using historical data and mathematical models?
What if....

Big data prophets claim that this will happen soon....
and because I am puzzled about the possibilities of data, models and people who do not always act logically...

I want to share thoughts about about the world and attempts to predict and control the world...
is this an Aspie thing? ... I am not sure but i don not mind...
