Obsessions with repetitions.

I often find my brain going into loops of phrases and motions. It does not really matter much what the loop consists of, as long as it can be repeated infinitely. I find comfort in repetition.

Needless to say, this makes grinding and farming during JRPGs a lot easier for me than it would an average NT.

Still, my brain is holding on to loops of words that I want to let go, since they come from a time when I was a lot angrier (as in two decades ago). I find my mind repeating words related to traumatic events, and I do not know how to shut it up, even though I have little emotional attachment left in those words at this point.

Does anybody else here have any experiences with this?
