Autism & neurological festivities

Greetings!
I am wondering if others experience neurological tweaks and horrors along with autism because I am thinking that somewhere I read they went together or something. Sorry, my brain is going. No, really. It is. I should just remove myself from society, but here I am. Sorry.
So, I enjoy:
IBS
IED
Fibromyalgia, which I think was just a pat diagnosis and hoping I can find a specialist

I do not know if anxiety factors in there, but that feeds the first two most heinously.
Commiserate?
I need some commiseration.
I am in SOOOO much pain.

I have a lot of chronic pain myself... I dont know what the name for it is, but it's a lot of tendon and nerve pain, and fun stuff like that. I go to physical therapy for it and I take a lot of Advil (because of the anti-inflammatory aspect). Right now my right shoulder is all messed up for some reason (again). Methinks I'm going to go use the foam roll after I post this, for that matter.

Also yes I do think anxiety really doesnt exactly help any of these things. Sure makes all my problems worse when it hits me.

Yeah, my pain is not inflammation. Neurological pain is handles with SSRI/SNRIs (blech) or like gabapentin. None of which actually work very well.

Chronic pain siblings?
I need commiseration.
I am going to eat a CBD treat (homemade) to try to help with my pain. A bit of the edge off, but I do not make them with *only* CBD, so there is that.

I have really really really bad IBS, on top of food allergies. I also have a lot of joint pain due to hypermobility that I'm trying to get seen for. I do think all the anxiety doesn't help in the slightest either. :(

This article may be of interest to you, with the link between the microbiome and autism:

IBS / possible crohn's here. My issues are so bad that I've needed 3 procedures and still, some people don't believe me when I tell them how much pain I'm in. It's seriously no joke, and possibly an ASD link for sure.

If it helps any, staying away from GMOs, processed and packaged food still seems to help more than anything else.

Oh, so sorry about food allergies. I have few things left that I enjoy and food allergies would just narf me. My IBS is purely anxiety. Every exacerbation of any of my conditions seems rooted in anxiety. And I think when I finally get this next batch of therapy done will probably be why I finally unpack the violent child abuse.
I will chekc out that article. Thank you!

Thankyou for that info and SO SORRY that no one believes you. Sometimes I think no one believes me, but it becomes more real when it is bad enough I have to use the walker.
I have not been so anal about staying away from GMOs, but I think we tend to avoid them. We rarely eat prepackaged/preprocessed foods I make everything from scratch, including condiments. I even use locally milled wheats for my bread. I am always looking for ways to get my food "closer to basic" as possible, like making ketchup from homegrown tomatoes. We are not always that lucky, but still.
Amazing to discover how easy it is to make condiments and all the things people normally buy. I am on the condiments thing because our latest meal was home made buns from a european style bread recipe, homemade spicy ketch with roasted garlic, carmelised onions, a big patty seasoned steakouse style (worcestershire, etc), and garlic dill pickles. It was a great combo.
I guess I need to get back to making pickles.

Anyhoo, I digress.
YES - avoid prepackaged food. And we rarely eat out. Like once or twice a year (so far this year it has been once) and usually only 2 restaurants.
Does not help with my pain tho.
Honestly I am looking for clues it is parkinsons because it has been progressive and most peoploe get diagnosed with fibro in their 20s or 30s. This started in my 50s. And yes: I have the tremor, but not sure about the balance thing which is the next symptom to look for.

Regarding the IBS issues:
Some of it certainly could be gut microbiome "imbalances", sometimes associated with folks with a "restricted" or "habitual" diet. Some of it, and this is new data, would suggest that a subset of autistics actually have a genetic condition that effects creatine processing, leading to a creatine deficiency, and IBS issues. Creatine also works in the brain, in part, as a mild anti-depressant and improves cognition. More research needs to be done, but IBS is more common as we age. Studies have suggested that a drop in creatine, as well as, NAD+ occurs during the normal aging process. So, you have two lines of evidence, the autistic population and the aging population that are being investigated regarding low creatine and low NAD+, and whether or not daily supplementation can be used to reverse or treat IBS and colitis.

Do a Google Scholar or PubMed search for: "autism and creatine", "creatine and IBS", "creatine and colitis", "NAD+ and IBS", "NAD+ and colitis", and other combinations of key words. Like I said, this is newer research, but either way, creatine is relatively inexpensive, comes in a powder or capsule, and is easy to take. NAD+ can be found as "Liposomal NAD+", NMN, NR, and Niacin B3. NMN, NR, and Niacin being precursors to NAD+. There are also YouTube lectures on these topics.

With new things like this I make no recommendations for anyone, but I have been taking liposomal NAD+ and creatine supplements the past few weeks and have noticed a significant improvements in my physical coordination, muscle fullness and strength, energy levels, less bloating after meals, as well as, improved cognition. That's my anecdotal experience, so far.

Yes I also have many autoimmune issues. I treat them with diet, bodywork, and natural medicine. Some things I have cured, others I have learned to manage.
