Ugh, I can’t stand the “coastal Connecticut” distressed white furniture look. If you know, you know.

However, this dresser is beautiful and I would use it as a bathroom vanity if I got rid of one of my sinks. I’ve always wanted to paint something like this.

That is pretty creative Luca. around here I associate shabby chic with conservative white chick households. I hate it.

Same, that was exactly what I meant by “coastal Connecticut distressed white furniture.” It goes along with the [insert Christian University here] moms who wear Vineyard Vines and drive SUVs with political bumper stickers.

Shabby chic often involves taking a piece of beautiful antique furniture and murdering it with white paint. Really awful. Doing it to the "French Provincial" or "Louis XIV" furniture of the 60s is ok though cause it always looked like crap.
