I am a sociology graduate student. I work in critical autism studies, which sees autistic people as a social minority. I have a current study about autism disclosure in the workplace and will be conducting future studies involving passing as non-autistic, autistic people in positions of power, autistic work communities, and being unknowingly autistic. I am a non-autistic person with synesthesia and a neurological disease, which affects my movement and occasionally my ability to communicate. I am married to an autistic man and have many friends, family, colleagues and mentors on the spectrum.
