It's that time of the year! (work and family burnout)

Oh no when I said CBD I meant the cannabinoid and full spectrum being the trace amounts of THC compounds. But on that note anyways the lights here are fine, I don't have any floresent bulbs and have a radiation filter on my sceen here anyways since I'm also still EMF sensitive even though I made...

    Autism Simulation

    - I just found an even better one, this is from a female perspective but wow this describes a event like a party very well. I like how they did the fade in and fade out effect with people interacting with the zoomed in audio that pops out when they interact with her. The part that really got me...

It's that time of the year! (work and family burnout)

Yeah one thing I learned is that going completely with the wind on a adrenaline panic is not always a good thing, maybe if you have nothing to do for the entire day as a last resort but definitely not when you have strings of days after to deal with that will be more of the same. I also need to...

It's that time of the year! (work and family burnout)

Is anyone else going through the same? It all started the day before Thanksgiving when my hours got a lot more crazy like usual and it's really taking a toll on my physical and mental health. I see the family on Thanksgiving after a super early shift to eat food I never normally eat and too much...

How do you cope with sensory overload?

That's what I do too in most situations for holding out till the end of something where I'm getting extremely stressed and unstable like that. It buys me a little time but sometimes I still creep into meltdown territory.

    Autism Simulation

I've watched some autism simulation videos on youtube and this one --> is the most accurate to me. Of course things can fluctuate a bit from day to day. Plus you really need to FEEL all the internal sensory processing too, to completely understand what it feels like so a video though it does...

I got fired from my new job

Wow all for sitting in working, there's plenty more jobs out there not as petty. I work better on physical tasks when I'm sitting down to at work that require more attention to detail, everyone thinks it's weird no one ever got upset with me for it. I have much more control over what I'm doing...

    Dealing with Emotionally Balanced People

I would just decline to go respectfully and make up something that is actually true but isn't the reason they won't understand because I'm the same way with things like this. I just don't have much to express in the way they would find acceptable. I'm just not able to do that song and dance the...

    How well do you sleep?

It depends on how much I have going on in my head, in gneral I sleep alright enough though to get through every night without waking up.

How do I deal with autistic rage?

Dealing with a horribly constricted life sometimes and what I deal with normally is often rage inducing for me too. I will usually go into the shower or into the forest where no one can see and hear me and freak out. There is too much on my mind, nothing can be immediately done about all of it...

    Anyone else obsessed with psychiatry?

Mine is somewhat similar, I got into over the past year really maximizing my body and minds function to negate the negatives of my ASD, PTSD, and psychotic symptoms. Sometimes all I will do when I need to find something out is browse research sites all day making connections between this body...

    Stimming at Work

I stim at work too and often I'm very uncomfortable there cause the temperature in the place is always weird. I end up bouncing on the heels of my feet a lot and finger drumming to the music all the time. Those are my main stims, they help me maintain my body stability somehow in an environment...

    Are we vital to society?

We are as vital as anyone else despite what walls we encounter. Not everyone has to do the same things and we may excel in areas where NT's often do not. Many people with ASD may do better for society in the background doing work behind the scenes that everyone see's the result of but not...

    Depression Season

I don't like the Fall either even though I was born in it. Everything is wet and dying as the days slowly get darker and darker. I'll admit it looks nice from a distance sometimes with all the colors but I find the silence of Winter much easier. That silence in combination with the environment...
