Moving out, sharing a room at dorm

I think it'll be good for her to sign up to this website. I was 28 when diagnosed. Now 31. In these past 3 years I've kept coming back to this site (even though I hardly ever post anything). I do it for reassurance I'm "normal" in my own way, to see how other aspies think/do/copes in different...

How To Proceed With My Aspie?

Ask if that's it.. and even if he says no, still tell him if it is you can handle that. Also ask direct what his feelings towards you are. What he feels about you without all the other "crap".. If he likes you in a girlfriend way - then you two will find away through the "crap" that holds him...

How To Proceed With My Aspie?

I'm thinking that it's not just aspie.. ...he's just being human. If he's been hurt before or left feeling bad after a relationship, then it just takes a lot to trust again. Scared of letting go and just dive in... When I get like this, I unconsciously test people to see if they stay or in...

    ASD Awareness Research

I've taken it.. But found it hard as my trouble eating has nothing to do with self harm or trying to loss/gain weight.. Displaying eating disorder traits is more because of.. not happy tryin new food, "fear" of unknown, new textures.. hard to explain! Also, one of my self harm which started as...

Do you find autism quizzes easy to answer?

When I was diagnosed I had to do the AQ, EQ and one more test which I forgot what was.. Took them home to do it (paper form).. And it took me 3 days to do them!! I tried for about an hour and a half - two hours a day on the two first days... It was so frustrating and took out so much energy...

Meltdown turned to shutdown today, feeling really depressed.

I don't know what to say to make you feel better. Or how to give you some advice to change things... But I can send you some caring thoughts and hugs - so I hope you receive them and they give a little hope and warmth :-)

    Clothes: What you can/can't stand

I always wear tshirts but they cant be tight around the neck - feels like being strangled, which is also why I almost never wear a necklace! And every tshirt is a Pearl Jam tshirt (favourite band). Lose baggy-ish pants or jeans.. Or pyjama pants.. I hardly ever wear a bra - even though I'm an...

    Therapist Do's and Don'ts

I actually bought two books online by Rudy Simone, which I received a couple of days ago - can't wait to start reading. :)

    Therapist Do's and Don'ts

I very much agree! I was told a couple of months ago (at the age of 28), that I'm on the spectrum. I feel a need to know more but find it hard to find stuff about AS women.. *yay me for posting my first post after sneaking around awhile*
