If you can't go to any kind of school, then get a hobby, Markness. Something you can do at home or even just in your bedroom where I hope you have some kind of freedom from your mother. You have to figure out something that interests you. If you like being outdoors, you could start a small...

    What does this mean?

I think she is just being friendly. She probably thinks you look like a nice boy. Don't read too much into it. It's nice that she is trying to include you in the employee group that likes to get together after work for a drink. You don't have to join them or drink alcohol if you go with...

Good age to diagnose personality disorders

Very true. Also, minors convicted as adults of crimes are segregated from the adult prison population while they serve their sentences.

Is there a way to not live in an apartment when you suffer with noise sensitivity? (UK only)

Misty - See your post #105. Making a snide remark that because I'm NT, I cannot understand that you have sensory issues despite your understanding the source of the noise that bothers you, is rude, insulting to me, and a form of bigotry. I've never been on Wrong Planet and I belong to no clique.

What can you do with a special interest?

My nephew loves jigsaw puzzles. When he was a child, he put them together upside down with the plain brown backside facing him, and the colorful picture facing down on the table. Now he assembles them face side up so he is looking at the picture when he works on them. We get the really...

Yes, I hate the vacuum cleaner, leaf blowers, lawn mowers, loud traffic noises, and loud music.

Is there a way to not live in an apartment when you suffer with noise sensitivity? (UK only)

I have observed that you're a chronic complainer and attention-seeker, on this forum. Insulting NT people is no different from racism, bigotry and many other behaviors. When you do that, you reinforce the world's negative stereotype of autistics.

    Current book(s) you're reading?

I just got home from a vacation in Tuscon, Arizona, and I'm reading a collection of Louis Lamour's short stories about cowboys, Indians, prospectors, cattle ranching, cattle rustling, stagecoaches, hangings, shootings, fist fights, knife fights and other Wild West adventures.

Is there a way to not live in an apartment when you suffer with noise sensitivity? (UK only)

Misty - I understood from some comment you made at some point that you played music so loudly - on at least one occasion - that the neighbors banged on the floor. Thank you for essentially confirming that in your comment. I'm glad you don't engage in retaliatory noisemaking. Hopefully, you...

Stop worrying about what other people "want" or "hope". You might be misinterpreting them or their motives. Just focus on YOU. Try to be secure and content with who you are, and don't focus on what other people may or may not "want" or "hope" for you. Life isn't a contest in which you...

    Losing yet another friend?

I haven't made any statements about incels that pertained to you. I can tell you're not an incel, Markness. I would love it if you could be happy in life, but that happiness must come from within you.

    Walking with friends

We're on vacation. Today I am going hiking on Mount Lemmon in Tucson, Arizona with my hubby who is also my best friend. It's hot down in the city but will be quite cool up on the mountain. If we're not too tired after a hike, we will visit the University of Arizona minerals museum and stare...

    My dream life.

The Gulf of Mexico is shallow, especially along the coastline, so we get storm surges. Not the same as tsunamis but similar. The storm surge from Hurricane Katrina was approximately 35 feet high. The surge comes in rather gradually like a very high tide that keeps rising and rising. I...
