ASD culture is getting yelled at or blocked for expressing a positive, genuine emotion in a way that apparently sounds like sarcasm.

    Autism Spectrum Syndrome?

I say "often" it was a list of some known things that don't apply to everyone but, I get what you mean. And I was listing pros and cons as to why I don't think autism should be classified as a disorder, not why we should be accepted. Also I don't think disorder means worse it means, in the best...

    Autism Spectrum Syndrome?

I don't feel like it's a disorder at all tbh. Same with ADHD. Although it has some aspects which seem like a disorder, both ASD and ADHD are more of a different neurological "hardware". It's not better or worse, both have trade offs. NTS: (pros) - more socially inclined - confident - can deal...

    Anyone feel like a robot?

I think the "everyone's a robot but me" thing is definitely an autism thing. When I was little it took me a long time to realise other people have sapient thought (Theory of Mind). I'm a pot better with it now but it still feels quite often, that I'm the main character and everyone is a...

trouble understanding descriptions the way they're supposed to be understood?

I've found that I've always had a problem with imagining a setting and characters? Sometimes it's impossible for me to formulate a picture of a visual description and most of the time it's, wrong. In book fanbases I've noticed fanart seems to all have the same general idea of what the setting...

    ftm trans & aspie

I was doing research and I found there might be some correlation with being trans masc as well as having a higher chance of being autistic? But a lot of the posts seemed to have a cis-centric attitude about them so I'm not sure if I should believe any of those articles? I'd like to hear from...

    questioning a-spec

I've been questioning me being aspie(?) for quiet a while. One of the major traits I don't identify with however is "taking criticism rather well and wondering why NT's want to be lied to to make them feel better." I've always been sensitive about that sort of topic, and I'm kind of scared I'm...
