A sign of changing times. Even just a few years ago our government wouldn't have bothered to warn us about these sorts of things. Timing is fortunate and if there's any disruptions to services most of us won't care because it'll be during the night, but it could be a bit different for people on the other side of the globe.

 
It would be fun if some English-speaking people looked at this and tried to guess what a "squeeze day" is and what is going on here. And what this is a commercial for. Anyone want to try? :)

My guess it is for a holiday, a day off work. In the US we just call it a long weekend.

Yes, it's about those special occasions when Thursday is a public holiday, so Friday is squeezed in between a day off and the weekend. And that's when you skip work on Friday and turn it into a four day weekend. :)

Ahh. I didn’t get the squeeze part with the Thursday holiday and then getting Friday off too. We do this typically on Thanksgiving which is always on a Thursday and then many people have Friday off too.
