Hi to all of you Im somewhat new here as you can guess so Ill go right into this.
I was officially diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome when I was 10 even though my parents knew a long time before. The first questions I really asked what was it exactly and is there a cure. Silly questions when I look back at it now! But over the past 10 years or so on and off over my life so far Ive tried to learn more about it, where it comes from and how it makes me a person with my own thoughts, opinions and choices. What I want to know from all of you like me who are out there with all the benefits this gives us (despite the handicapps!) such as enhanced perception, a better eye for detail, heightened senses to certain stimuli and other things that are unique to each AS individual are we more capable than what you might call normal people so to speak of something more. Of achieving something greater than ourselves and most other people?
This could range from anything like a new invention or a new discovery or another facet of human nature.(these are hypothetical examples).
Write in and tell me what you think and that also includes if you think this is far-fetched and/or stupid.
