neurotypical vs atypical relationships?

Can these 2 types of people match in a relationship? For example, an atypical girl is attracted to a neurotypical guy, does anyone know if these relationships work out or is it better to be attracted to someone is atypical too? I mean point is can these opposites attract?

Of course they can work, doesn't mean they will though, the vast majority of relationships fail sooner or later, the communication and understanding issues that can be part of a NT/ND relationship just adds an extra complication. My parents have been happily married for 40 years, mum's NT dad's an aspie.
