    Hi Stellaeres...after my first cat cat died in my arms...I wanted to get a dog small enough for my sailboat, but fate dropped 3 abandoned kittens on me instead.

    My big Cat Shadow is pushing 30 pounds and like hop on my stomach when I'm watching TV...Uuuff! not again cat! you big bucket of lard..:p

    I cd be mistaken, but I thought you mentioned getting Dutch chocolate & not liking it. Since I didn't know what Dutch chocolate was, I read about it.

    Dutching is a process that lowers cocoa's acidity level which works with bkg pwdr & bkg soda to ensure proper texture in risen baked goods. And if you didn't mention Dutch choc., please excuse this comment.

    I like Dutched Cocoa for some things and not others. The normal acidity of Cocoa has been reduced. This actually has the result that Dutched Cocoa should usually not be used in combination with baking soda, since baking soda is a base that pairs well with the acidity of non-Dutched Cocoa. However, it can be used with baking powder. I found that prefer the sharper taste of regular Cocoa.

    That's what I read. That the flavor is better, non-Dutched. I don't know. I haven't eaten choc. in years. But my mother used it a lot.

    First clause looks to me like an ablative absolute; I'm thinking causal. So, "(due to) the people having been oppressed by fear, this ruler must be driven out of the city by us."
