    Autistic Question

I think there is something to being able to recognize another autistic a little better then a neurotypical might. And I think there is some tendency for them to attract in a friendly way, but I don't think it is any more likely to be attracted to one romantically.

    I would trade it all

Relationships frequently don't work out. One or the other decides it's not what they want and really once you know that, a fast break is probably better (and kinder) in the long run. Both parties absolutely have the right to do this. Sometimes what I have seen happen with the person that...

Coffee. I want to talk about coffee.

I grew up with milk and sugar in my coffee. My Italian Mom started us on one half coffee one half milk + sugar at a young age (5-6) but Hot Tea was our mainstay. I don't know why but I am not complaining. I love both to this day but with just typical amounts milk and sugar. I have learned...

    Rainman

Just some backround. The impression I get is the character seems to have been written or actor modeled on more then one source, but the primary source seems to be a real person who wasn't diagnosed with autism. "Kim Peek, or “Rain man,” suffered from FG syndrome, a genetic condition that...

Hi and Welcome, I never heard it put that way, 'under the spectrum'. We usually say 'on the spectrum', But really should.t it be 'in the spectrum' ? ;)

    I'm 12 and my crush is 16.

Four years isn't a lot between people in their 60s, but it is when you are young, especial during the child/teen years. My general advice is to stick with people your own age till age 18,

    The eclipse is happening now.

I was reluctant to go out and see it anyway. I couldn't bring the dogs and they hate it when I go out without them. :D

Why does nobody click with me

I think that's a very good example of distorting a resonse and making a negative out of it. No that's not all all what was said and there were some good positive ideas for you. But don't think this is rare. I've seen quite a few people over the years here and on other autism forums do it. So...

A question about not being able to speak

I haven't heard that particular situation before. Was wondering if there was something in common about the subject when it happens? Like does it tend to be conversations about people, or personal feelings or money, etc. Or can it be about anything? It's interesting it started in childhood.

    PDA Diagnosis

Back in the day PDA meant smooching in uniform and was against regulations. Now it seems to mostly mean Personnal Digial Assistant. But you mean something different. It's weird. I seem to be like that about some things but most not like that in others. It seems to depend on whether I am...
