Monarch 003

It's Monarch time .
I love Monarch butterflies. We have dozens of milkweed plants around the house. One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen was watching a monarch hatching from a chrysalis.❤️

@unreality That is one of my interests. And it helps with the population.
I have a garden of milkweed I keep for this intention. They lay the eggs and when they hatch
and the caterpillars are big enough I gather them and bring them in the house where I have
incubators. I put the caterpillars in them and cut pieces of the milkweed daily to put in with the
caterpillars. I clean the incubators daily and put in fresh milkweed cuttings.
In about a week the caterpillars climb to the top of the incubator, shoot out a web and go into the
J-peg position. I've watched the chrysalis emerge from the caterpillar, then hatch in 10 days into the
butterfly. I let them drink a necter made of honey and water I make for them before I send them on
their way.

Awesome! People like you are help the Monarch butterflies a lot. Hopefully one day they'll no long be extinct. :) Sometimes my sister does what you do. I think she has an even bigger heart than me.
