  4. Interesting birth leads to more interesting stuff

My daughter who arrived with dramatic flare, under our Christmas tree on the evening of Epiphany (or Christmas Eve according to the 'Ukrainian Orthodox' half of our extended family), went on to do some interesting stuff. Let's call this sweet girl Shoobee. That's her nickname now because of her favourite baby toy. Shoobee would stare for extended periods at a brightly coloured toy. We called it Busy Bee-- there was a bee on top with a smiling face, and it was a soft-sided toy with dials...

  7. Matador - The Soldier Thread

Sorry to disappoint but they haven't finished me off yet! ...I dance away from the Horns of death so to speak for one more day for God!...he looks out for me! He is all I have left! It's not over until the Messiah calls the game!
  8. Empathy???

I am beginning to see why God said my road would be long and hard! When you are young you hope life will get better when you are older, and your dreams will come true, and people will love and value you more. But nothing really changes...old people are really just the same children you grew up with now with grey hair! I am really only 4 years in moving back into active church things even tho I was born into the church, so yes I have a few rough corners still. And the church is...
  9. Aspie, or just screwed?

So I saw my psychiatrist on Thursday, I have been seeing him for 6 years. He says he doesn't think I'm on the spectrum but thinks I have the following: - Borderline Personality Disorder - Dysthimic Disorder - Alexethemia - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder - Eating Disorder (not otherwise specified) - Chronic Generalized Anxiety Disorder - Social Phobia I have a hard time believing that all my issues are 8 independent psychiatric conditions rather than...
  10. Being me is exhausting sometimes.

Time for another update! I'm nearing the end of this internship, and nearing the end of my time as a student. This fall, I'll have my medical license. I can't wait for the moment I finally get to call myself a doctor. Things are looking up, I'm getting great performance reviews and I get tons of compliments on my knowledge and work ethos. So why am I not happy? Because Someone said Something. I told the head of the department how much I love working here, and how much I'd love to stay. I...
  11. Everything Wrong With My Noastalgias

I’ve read, watched, or otherwise got into several things in my childhood. Of course, that period of my life had nothing to do with vegetarianism, let alone veganism. Anyway, several of them turned into mixed-bags ever since these things I’ve found online shocked me into determinedly switching to vegan. “Curious George” (specifically the original book and a stop-motion animated adaptation): The star monkey gets bagged against his will because a man with a yellow hat decided “What a nice...
  12. No-Bake Chocolate Cookies

These are called cookies, but are closer to candy, in my opinion. They are pretty good and very easy to make. They do not require an oven, so are not so bad to cook when it is hot weather. They have oats in them, but it comes out tasting like it is coconut instead of oats. No-Bake Chocolate Cookies 3 c one-minute oats (i never eat these so use rolled oats instead) Pinch of salt (I leave this out since Americans get over 30 times as much salt as we need.) 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c sugar 1/2 c milk...
  13. Favorite Recipe Source

I do not want to abandon readers. I feel as if my brains are being baked by the summer heat. I do not feel like doing much thinking because of having baked brains. My way of reconciling these two factoids is to tell you about cookbooks And internet sites that have given me some of my favorite recipes. I do not have to think much to manage this subject. My all time favorite cookbook is, "Rodale Press Basic Natural Foods Cookbook". The last I knew, it had gone out of print again. I told...
  14. Where do we go - Lindsey Stirling

:( I made all the sacrifices...did what I thought was right...gave up my last chance in life for God. Now what? I have nothing? I have no path to anything good for me!:( Everything to nothing! I can't even feel God!:( I do not understand this!
  15. I ended up having my baby at home (under the Christmas tree)

My first child had been born 2+ years earlier, ultimately via an emergency cesarean, over the course of 2 terrifying days. While in hospital I counted 10 consulting docs/ OBs-- none of whom were my own doctor. Gong show. PTSD symptoms and PPD. Took a lot (mostly growing to love my unbelievable dtr. #1) to get me to try for a 2nd baby. When I did, I prepared in some non-medical/ non traditional ways, received some awesome counseling, and decided to go with midwifery care. Midwives...

The Magic of my Heart is not enough!:( Mael :fourleaf:...best wishes!
