She excitedly climbed into the front seat, and her father started driving. "How's school going?" he asked. "Fine," Brooklyn responded. "We have a substitute math teacher this month. I still don't know whether or not I like her better." "And how's Speech?" "Okay, I guess." Brooklyn had mixed feelings about that. Sometimes it was okay, sometimes not. Two weeks ago had been particularly rough. She had been working on her posture lately. One day in Advisory Support, without even realizing it,...
  2. Desert Dream

No clue if this dream is worth writing about? It was short in the desert in a wash canyon like Death Valley I was standing on some rocks looking down into a wash slot I guess? a sort of flat shear wall to my left with spotty black and brown? rock a small reef of blue copper ore or something in it below my shoulder. Two? bread slice like slabs of like light brown limestone I guess rising beneath my feet tilted to the right maybe 15 degrees. They were water eroded with pockets of gemstones in...
  3. Vegan Smoothies

Generator Land: Vegan Smoothies Title = Vegan Smoothies Descriptor = Summertime Treats You Can Make At Home Button = What do I need for this recipe? The premise is a mock-up of a standard foodie article. The background is formal & delicate, the way I imagine an old style woman's magazine layout. This was the 2nd generator I put together. I used 4 prepared lists: Flavors, Cereal types, Vegetables, and Liquids The first three lists are realistic. The 4th element sometimes adds absurdity...
  4. Onwards!

Another week has gone by, and it has gone by well. I got the results of my Super Important Test back, and I passed. So that's awesome :D I'm really looking forward to going back into the hospital to treat patients. Only two weeks from now! But first I have some more lectures to attend and tests to pass. As my next test gets closer, my schedule gets more and more packed and my stress levels increase. So far, it's a healthy dose of stress that allows me to thrive. I decided to quit smoking...
  5. Grandma Rosie

Honestly I remember very little of my childhood, but there are a few things and people that stood out. Firstly is my grandmother Rosemary. Its really kind of difficult to put into words how I saw her and felt about her. I can remember that every time I was lucky enough to go to her house, it smelled like freshly baked bread, cookies, and her other famous dishes. I can remember her soft, warm hugs, and the way that she smelled almost like flower petals. I remember the rare times we could sit...
  6. The greatest teacher.

When I was young,I often would see a man riding his bike past my house, he was almost always smiling and liked to vocalize the word "meep!" I heard many things about him and most were negative and untrue. People called him names like "retard" (he actaully had FAS Fetal Alcohol Syndrome) and other awesome vocalizations of humanity. For me though, it was mostly curiosity, although I can also (ashamedly) say that before, and even sometimes while I knew him, I was also cruel towards him....
  7. My first Random Generator: Toad is HUNGRY

Generator Land: Toad is HUNGRY Title = Toad is HUNGRY Descriptor = Feed your pet toad. Button = Eat this I picked a natural subject, a toad, for the same reason that I picked ants to write my first term paper on. Toads and ants exist. They are real creatures. It seemed liked an objective topic, not prone to overtones or undertones. I used 2 prepared lists. A. adjectives B. insects The concept is that you are feeding these things to your pet. The adjectives modify the insects in atypical...
  8. February 29, 2016: 12 am - 6 am

She needed to be set free, and the only way to do that was to apologize. The one thing Brooklyn did not know how to do. Trying to sincerely apologize never went well for Brooklyn. She often tried to avoid it. It always felt too awkward, and she was always reminded of what she had to apologize for in the first place. A few years ago, when she and a fifth grader took Speech, the fifth grader always showed up late. Brooklyn was usually right on time. One day, though, she had a confusion with...
  9. Belief Clarification

Note: I may be able to use Charles Darwins 3 prime Solid State Universe laws to make Darwin prove Gods present existence (Eternal Matter = s Eternal Motion = s Eternal Time = s a Endless Past + General Upward Evolution = s a Being of Maximum Power, God, already Evolved somewhere in our Universe), but I do not support Evolution on Earth, and Evolution on Earth is directly contrary to the Bible. Everything on earth was made either by God, or his angels, or heavenly people? If you read...
  10. The Birthday Party

Like many aspires, parties are a confusing, complicated mindful. So much sensory input go on from the popping of bottle corks to the intensely painful feeling of being a squished into a tiny space like sardines in a can. With the added thing of small talk parties are a confusing thing which I try to avoid. However today I had a party I had to attend. Today was my sisters party. I felt so much anxiety going in however I stepped back too a breathe and walked in and realised it was all okay I...
  11. From December 31, 2012

By the time dinner was over, it was still only 8 o'clock. Brooklyn had more than three hours on her hands, and she was already bored. The cousins spread out, and Brooklyn wasn't sure where to go. While pacing the steps up and down she noticed a little area between the couch and the staircase. With little thought, she climbed into it. This was the sort of thing she did when she didn't know what to do with herself. She liked tiny spaces (when she was alone), so she crouched in this little area...
  12. Lack of energy

Today, and for the last few days, i have a lack of energy to do everything that i want to do. i am slowly scaling back operations, and making things more efficient, but it doesn't change the fact that i am running on about 10 to 20% of maximum value. (200 to 400 matha's an hour) i do hope it will change, because Depression of Energy is not a good thing to have.
  13. A few words to begin

So, I do believe that I have asperger's syndrome, yes I know its all been changed... yet again. I've decided to set up this blog as a starting point at transferring my work over from facebook... Yes, I know that Jeremy Kyle does not approve of this facebook network malarki, however, he has friends and a family whereas I do not. And for the record I would love to have a one to one with him and have indeed sent him an email in the hope that it is accepted and challenged in all of its entirety...
  14. Living with Gilles de la Tourette Syndrome, these past two weeks

An entry to life living with what can be a troubling condition to deal with.
  15. I'm just going to title by the chapter it's in. December 31, 2012

Caleb went to the fridge. "Where's the Dr. Pepper?" he shouted. He came back with a Sprite. Brooklyn pushed her can closer to the exercise bike. Jonathan noticed. "I don't really like Sprite," Brooklyn explained. "I mean, it's okay, but it either tastes plain or like lime. And I hate lime. Which is why I took the Dr. Pepper." Caleb turned around. "What?" Brooklyn grinned, showing all the metal on her teeth. "Nothing!" she said innocently. Caleb turned back to the video game. Jonathan looked...
  16. A few pages in

Brooklyn was quite picky with numbers. She liked some better than others. Her favorites were 2, 4, 5, 6, 12, 17, 22, 29, and 42. Other numbers were okay, except for 3, or any number with a 3 in it. She wanted the year to stay 2012. She liked the number 2012, because it had good numbers in it. 2013 would just mess everything up. She didn't like the number 13. So she didn't want the year to change, and she didn't want to be thirteen on her next birthday, either. She was very smart when it came...
  17. I survived my first week!

Well, the title pretty much says it all. I made it through my first week back in med school without any major problems. I attended all the classes, did all my assignments, found out most of my knowledge was just dormant instead of gone. My major thought this week was: Why was this so hard for me the first time around? Five years ago I never made it through the week without skipping at least one class. I constantly felt overwhelmed, couldn't stomach being around my fellow students, felt...
  18. Entry 1

So, this is my first entry in a blog of any type in a very long time. I'm not that used to places like this, or talking to other people with similar issues so if I offend someone by accident, I apologise. I have always been able to speak easier with people who were at least five years older and younger than myself but never in my age range. Among other reasons, I always felt they were foolish hormone driven idiots (and in a way that hasn't changed I just facepalm less now) and couldn't...
